The Property
Villa Levante is a lovely country house located on Sicily's eastern coast, between Catania and Taormina, less than a mile from the beach. The Villa, that once was an oil mill where olives were crushed with a huge wooden press, is surrounded by a citrus grove and olive trees. But the most beautiful area that you can enjoy is the gorgeous swimming pool framed by a flourishing tropical garden. Nearby is a lava-paved terrace, a patio with a large stone table and an original wood grill excellent for al fresco dining.
The house has been in part restored and is furnished with antiques that have been in the family for generations, so you can still feel the charm of an old Sicilian country house everywhere.


Features
Once the ground floor was designated for livestock, so even today the living quarters are upstairs.
First floor: a very large living room with a wooden cathedral ceiling, a separate majolica-tiled kitchen with a wood-fire oven, four double bedrooms open onto a terrace that revolves round the house. The master double bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with tube and two washbasins. Two twin bedrooms share a hall bathroom (with tub and washing machine), and another twin bedroom that has its own en-suite bathroom with shower, opens onto a long furnished balcony overlooking the vegetation and the pool.
